For the year 2026, the French National Research Agency (ANR) is launching the second Call for Projects for the SPIN Research Program. The objective is to further energize the program by incorporating new approaches to enhance its impact and seize new opportunities. The selected projects will last between three years and four years
The two strategic objectives of this call for proposals are:
> Scientific renewal with respect to the existing objectives of the PEPR SPIN and/or the exploration of emerging functionalities and/or the increase in maturity of spintronic devices;
> Enhancing the impact of the PEPR through synergies with other thematic communities (e.g. other PEPRs) and/or, more broadly, the development of interdisciplinary approaches.
The two different funding modes for this call for projects:
> Three or four collaborative projects. The maximum amount of funding will be €1.2 million.
> “Young Scientist” project, with a single beneficiary who will be the employer of the project leader. The budget will be between €350,000 and €400,000.
Specifically, research organizations and higher education and research institutions are eligible for this funding. Foreign companies and institutions may participate as partner institutions, but their participation will not receive direct funding.
