PEPR SPIN Industrial Day – 19 May 2026
The SPIN National Research Program is organizing its second Industrial Day on May 19, 2026, at Espace Van Gogh in Paris. This event aims to bring together academic and industrial stakeholders to foster exchanges and build bridges for integrating spintronics into industrial applications
The second Industrial Day of the SPIN Research Program offers a unique opportunity to bring together industrial stakeholders and the academic world. The goal is to identify opportunities and analyze the challenges related to the implementation of spintronics in concrete applications.
For this new edition, the morning will feature official addresses, including a keynote by Bruno Bonnell, Secretary General for Investment in charge of France 2030. It will be followed by a dedicated roundtable discussion on the theme “From research to innovation: how to support researchers in entrepreneurship and industrialization,” animated by François Legrand (Communication Manager at CEA), bringing together several political figures as well as institutional representatives:
> Katia Cargnelli, Technology Transfer Advisor, SGPI (Secrétariat général pour l’investissement)
> Laurent Bechou, Project Manager for Electronic Systems Engineering, DGRI (Direction générale de la Recherche et de l’Innovation, MESR)
> Hughes Metras, Director, ASIC Programmes Agency, CEA (Commissariat à l’énergie atomique et aux énergies alternatives)
> Sergio Nicoletti, Electronic Project Manager, DGE (Direction générale des Entreprise)
> Fabien Boulanger, Digital Sector Manager, BPI (Banque Publique d’Investissement)
The discussions will focus on three major themes: materials, sensors, and radio frequency technologies. Both leading companies in the field, such as Airbus Defence and Space, Riber, Vinci Technologies, Schlumberger, Renault, and innovative and startups like Tescan, RARA Factory, TeraView, Synthwave-Lasers or Golana Computing.
By bringing together researchers, entrepreneurs, and industry professionals, this event will provide a unique platform to discuss technological advancements, the dynamics of the French market, and future development opportunities. The event will foster exchanges through a dynamic and interactive format, structured as follows: 10 minutes of introduction by representatives of the scientific community, followed by 15 minutes of presentations by companies, and concluding with 20 minutes of Q&A and discussions with the audience.
To encourage interaction, dedicated stands for technology transfer and valorization will be set up. These will enable researchers to explore opportunities for patenting, startup creation, and tailored support.
