The objective of MoxSpin is to develop thin films of optimized magnetic oxides for modern spintronic technologies, balancing ultra-speed and energy efficiency. These innovative materials will open new perspectives in magnonics, ultra-fast magnetism, magneto-acoustics, and terahertz (THz) waves. Through several key advancements, MoxSpin will contribute to both fundamental research and applications in information storage, transport, and processing, as well as THz technologies
Issus
> Identify new ferrimagnetic materials exhibiting strong magnetic anisotropy and canted antiferromagnetism, suitable for spin-wave-based technologies and THz applications.
> Identify materials operating in the frequency range of 53 GHz to 900 GHz, compatible with current microwave technologies.
> Determined orthoferrite materials capable of directly interacting in the THz domain.
The positioning of the project with the PEPR
> MoxSpin supports two ambitious projects, SWING and TOAST, within the PEPR SPIN program, by studying two new families of iron-based magnetic oxides. These materials exhibit stable magnetism at room temperature and magnetization dynamics in the sub-THz and THz frequency range.
